I know this is not a ProCoder forum and I shouldn't post this question in here but I'm stock. So your help is much appreciated.
Here's the situation. I tried to import a 12GB AVI footage captured with Adobe Premiere 1.5 into Avid Xpress Pro HD. Avid is not able to import the avi file. This file is playable in Windows Media Player 10 fine. In fact it looks better playing in Windows Media than in Quicktime 6.5. So what I did is I use ProCoder to convert this file into a .mov file so that Avid is able to import. However, the problem is that after it is converted the footage interlace look so bad. You would see the lines everytime the person in the footage move. Below are the settings I have:
Source:
DV Mode: Standard DV
DVFormat: DV/DVCAM
Viedo Frame Size: 856x480
Frame Rate(fps): 29.97
Video Codec: 'dvsd'
Decoding Mode: 29.97 Interlace (grey out)
Interlacing: Lower/Bottom Field First
Aspect Ratio: 16x9
There is no problem with the Audio.
Now here is the settings for the Target:
Use Video: Use Always
Width: 856
Height: 480
Frame Rate Type: FrameRate Flexible
Frame Reate(fps): 29.970 (grey out)
Interlacing: Lower/Bottom Field First
Aspect Ratio: Video: [107:50], Pixel:[6:5]
Encoder: Apple DV/DVPro - NTSC
Code Options: Click for Codec Properties (grey out)
Use Line21: Don't Use (grey out)
I believed I loaded the Quicktime6 DV for Avid Xpress - NTSC target preset. Any help to reduce this interlace is much appreciated.
