Is there a free Windows software that I can use to watch the live feed
from my miniDV camera through the firewire port? I know how to
grab the DV stream to hard drive. But sometimes I just want to use
the computer minitor to watch full screen TV with an old VCR and the
miniDV camera (via its analog pass-through function). Thank you.

Many will view it but full screen narrows the field.

One that used to do it was Honestech DVR (demo)

Another that claims to do it is CaptureFlux

VLC can do it but is more difficult to set up.

I've used CaptureFlux to do exactly what's required - full screen and (if I remember rightly) audio. It's dead easy to do, and it's free...

    EDIT: CaptireFlux to CaptureFlux. D'Oh!
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
