Be A Girl
Let's face it. Girls are instant hits on forums. There's not even that much work required. If one so much as says "period" or "my boob", you have the entire thread full of horny males suddenly change topic to "Oh, I didn't know you were a girl." Now about half of these men play it cool, the other half are quite obvious. The girls lavish the attention. It's true. Let's be honest. What makes Don or Dick much different than many other posters? Not much. Others make good threads. But do they have boobs? No.
Be A Complete Moron
Make a shitload of completely idiotic General Discussion threads that are not neccesarily bad enough to be trashed but bad enough to be failed. Then when a political situation or a natural disaster occurs, make an idiot out of yourself by blaming it on the government or on Bush or something. But be really blatently stupid about it. Make everyone hate you, and eventually that hate will turn into a hate him so much you love him relationship.
Date Somebody Else On The Forum
This is great becuase of several reasons. One, you do not have to post a lot. But you can make completely random flame threads about you and your boyfriend or girlfriend just to piss people off. And if you do this once a day for a year everybody will love you.
Make An Assload of GD stories
They don't neccesarily have to be bad. They can actually all be good. At first people will like you but after like the 1000th story, people will notice you and tell you stop. You will probably end up posting a picture of yourself which you will soon end up realizing is a mistake when 100 people start posting, using your face as a description of a level of gayness in a thread.
Have A Memorable Avatar
May it be a cow, a handsome man, a pink bear, something with poop on it, or something that is bright yellow/orange/green, you will be sure to be a hit. Then just post a lot in flames and people will remember you.
Be an Admin Or A Moderator
Instant Success.

Post 3000 times in your first month. Get yourself a giant avatar. Post a lot in CD and Flames until everyone is sick of you. Now you are famous and you have contributed like 2 intelligent thoughts out of 2000 posts. Congrats.
Label Yourself
Let everyone know what a whore you are. Or a spoiled college student. Or a terrible drunk. Or a druggy. Then people will be like "Oh my gosh, that's DickStivers/Don that girl, she's that one who loves booze.
Basically, to be recognized on this forum, you need to be a very messed up person or have a very distinct trait. Good posting or good support in PS or good threads in AI or technical help in TT will get you nowhere near what being a girl/idiot/whore will.
So to all you posters with dreams of being huge, make yourself special now. Because eventually it will be too late. Whether this includes posting nudies of yourself, changing your sex, or portratying yourself as a male-whore who does a lot, I mean a lot a lot, of crack, make yourself unique, or despite your good posting you will be doomed to animosity forever.

Personally, I think the best way to be noticed is to just be nice and polite to everyone.
as some of you know, and for those who don't can see...
Northcat = warm & fuzzy, cute and cuddly.
That's the best way to get noticed.

I ramble. Not sure what about, but I ramble. Sometimes I don't even know that I'm doing it. How I do it is probably the question to ask, though I never sat down to try and figure it out. If I did, I'd probably forget about what it is I'm thinking about and wander into some other subject. But I tend to change subjects midway through what I'm talking about as my mind drifts from what I was originally thinking about. However, if nobody brings be back to subject I tend to ramble. Not sure what about, but I ramble....... :P
