CD freaks lite on forum

someone recommended this forum, but the registration page does not work, and they do not answer e mails. Wondering if someone has some insights over there. Maybe other good lite on forum to recommend? thanks.

Strange. I just registered at CD Freaks and it took less than 5 minutes to get my confirmation email and log on.

They have high restocking fee, so I want to get his right, which one to get, and where to dowload the best hack so I can copy what I want -- and I'm on a Mac if that matters. thanks!

CD Freaks: I'm not sure why there would be a problem there. They are just asking for a username. Add a couple of numbers to it if you have a common username. Or just make something up. I volunteered the minimal information and they registered me with no problems.

If you are using a proxy server address to log on, that could be a problem?

The ilo04 units, while WalMart, are a LiteOn [Now discontinued]

Make sure that the LiteOn unit you select can be hacked They are disapearing fast

Many of the latest LiteOn units cannot be hacked I believe the 5006 is one that can, The latest firmware cannot be hacked, but if on the unit, a previous version can be installed and than hacked.
I do not have the LiteON but have two ilo units with HDD and one without HDD [they are made by LiteOn] and work very well

Go to the first site I gave and look through it. There are posts that mention the 5006 and hack.
If all else fails post the question to [Harpmaker] he is well versed on the LiteOn units.
Look at the [Guitarman] posts and his comments at both sites given.

If need be grab the 5006 as the 5945 and 5006 are fast becoming no more.

Just got the 5006, at store.
Does it even need a hacK? I only have one pre-recorded disk, but with Sony it said, can't record, but records fine without any hack in the 5006.
I do have an RF modulator, but that was more for VHS, don't thing it effects DVD recorders.
Maybe lucky with this one commercial disc, but maybe 5006 records anything without hack?
Also: with 5006, is there a title limit, or can you record unlimited titles, does anyone know?
I have to say 5006 blows away the Samsung & Sony I had before.
The Samsung would not play back any -R on my JVC player, and the Sony would not play back -RWs. But lite on plays back both perfectly. so why the issues with others?? and why is lite on so good?

Now that I had such great luck with 5006, reluctant to start experimenting. but was I just lucky?
