Hello, hope this is in the right section of the forum.

I'm working on some projects in DVD LAB at the moment; this involves de muxing the original dvd files to a dvd ready MPEG and appropriate audio file. I was just wondering if other people have gotten good results from this or whether it might be worth encoding these files seperately with a different tool.

    Thoughts anyone?

DVD Lab does not encode, but just authors. And yes, needs elementary streams, so must demux. Results are very good.
So, encode with Tmpgenc, por example, and then go to DVDL. Or you can author with TDA, this will accept even mpeg or VIDEO_TS folder.

Sorry if I did not understand you well, anyways.

Ah, thats fine then. I figured since i was taking the original files from the DVD and demuxing them there wasn't much that could go wrong. But you never know with these things do you?
