NTSC MiniDV to PAL MiniDV

I have a couple of NTSC MiniDV tapes I want to transfer to Pal MiniDV tapes.
I use Premiere.Can I just capture NTSC tapes to harddrive then just in Premiere load to PAL timeline and export it back to PAL Mini DV tape??
I just want to do bck up,that's all.

Best to get them transferred at transfer house.

If you have lots of time and little money, others will offer shortcuts.

I was so curious so I tried that.
I borrowed NTSC camcorder and transfer it to harddrive.Then in Premiere
I set PAL timeline and used "Export to tape" feature to transfer it to my PAL camcorder.It seems alright only the resolution on LCD seems smaller.

If you need a backup, do it as data. Converting in any way to PAL framesize and frame rates will degrade the quality.

Could you explain to me more futher??

I didn't actually Interpret the footage to PAL 25fps.
I just load it to Premiere in the PAL timeline and played back(recorded)to PAL tape.

What would happen If I just capture NTSC tape to HDD then load it as regular
NTSC project and use "Export to tape" to PAL tape??
Is that possile.I just need to back up,because those NTSC tapes I have to return.
So basically I;ll have NTSC RAW footage on PAL MiniDV tape

I'm confused,

You said you wanted to backup the data.

Then use standard data backup techniques. Save what you have to DVD-R.
