  1. Sorry, I wasn't sure which forum to ask this and although I'm sure it's been asked before I couldn't find any info. I'm able to backup and create a VCD without a problem, now I'm trying to find ways to increase quality - possibly lower the compression and spread the movie out over 3 CDs? Any suggestions would be great.

  2. The best way is to use a SVCD or VCD with the SVCD bitrate (VBR ~2600 kbps). The best format for the PC (or Mac) is Divx MPEG-4 ( I don't like microsoft WMV format that's stolen, it uses MPEG-4...) Also you can try the X(S)VCD template's for TMPGenc. If you want SVCD quality on a VCD use then VBR ~3500 kbps.
