  1. Hi all,

I'm using the Freecom Traveller II CDRW with Toast Titanium 5.0.2 on a Powermac G4 450 AGP with 1gb ram.

I have been trying to create VCDs from MPEG files for a few weeks now with no success. Everytime I burn a VCD with Toast, when I put the finished CD back into my CD/DVD drive, I get the error message 'VIDEO_CD cannot be used because it cannot be found.' ('video_cd' is just what I labelled the cd.)

I have tried five different brands of CDR/CDRWs, and tried converting the MPEG file with VCDgear before toasting, even though Toast should convert on the fly.

I have also tried burning with all extensions, except the ones necessary for Toast, disabled. This includes disabling USB and Firewire Authoring support as recommended by Toast.

I can burn data CDs fine, but whenever I try to make a VCD I get that same error message trying to mount it. I have tried the VCDs in my Powerbook G4, iBook and on two different DVD players. No dice.

Anyone have any guesses why I cannot make VCDs? I have tried Freecom technical support and they have been less than helpful in helping me to burn VCDs with their product!

Thanks in advance for any light that can be shed on my problem....

Just want to know when you burn your VCD, what speed didi you use? Try to keep as slower speed as possible(not more than 4x) cuz I'd experience the same problem when I burned my VCD at 8X
