I've downloaded an old-school freeware game, that is apparently a DOS game.
I can't figure out how to run it!
I never even touched a PC until 1999 -- everything I've ever dealt with has been Windows based.
When I click on the .exe file, it pops up a black DOS window for a second and then nothing...
how do I play this game??
TIA!
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

You trying to play a DOS game in XP? You got a long hard road ahead if so.
-
Create a desktop icon that references the game. Right click on icon for menu, select properties, select compatibility, select Windows 95. And good luck!

depending on the game itself, the above suggestions may or may not even work, best bet is to look into freedos.....that is, if the above suggestions dont work...

it's a Win2K machine.
I'll check into those links and suggestions."To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." - Steven Wright
