I've downloaded an old-school freeware game, that is apparently a DOS game.
I can't figure out how to run it!
I never even touched a PC until 1999 -- everything I've ever dealt with has been Windows based.
When I click on the .exe file, it pops up a black DOS window for a second and then nothing...

how do I play this game??

    TIA!

Create a desktop icon that references the game. Right click on icon for menu, select properties, select compatibility, select Windows 95. And good luck!

DOS BOX, then one of the frontends like D-FEND.

  5. depending on the game itself, the above suggestions may or may not even work, best bet is to look into freedos.....that is, if the above suggestions dont work...
