I have an xvid or avi file that's a dvd rip I use ffdshow to load external subtitles on this can of files just buy naming it as the video file, so this one wont load the subtitles, and there is a thin green line at the bottom when I play it in windows media but if I play it in Nero Showtime the green line wont appear but neither the subtitles...
pls someone help me

Try VLC media player. It seems to handle subtitles better.

but the main thing and I forgot to tell about is that after I see the subtitles working fine in WM player I encode the video files to dvd in nero vision express and ffdshow allows me to load the subtitles in nero vision express while encoding so the result is a dvd with subtitles on each episode.
I use nero vision express v 3.0.1.27 I did updated once but then the new versions didn't let ffdshow to load the subtitles, I have no problem of changing software if you know of a better software I can use do get the same result. My objective here was to do only encode directly to dvd while getting the subtitles not enconding for subtitles and then for dvd.
