In order for us to tell you how to do what you wish to do, you need to give us a bit more info.

Do you want these playable on a settop DVD player ?
If so, a regular DVD player or a Divx/xvid/raw MPEG capable player ?
If so, encode if required to divx/xvid/MPEG and burn to DVD as data.

If not, the process of getting files from your computer to "spec" DVD disc goes something like this:

    1. Acquire source (capture/rip/DL .... whatever)
1.b) Make any modifications / edits / filtering (if necessary)
    2. Make sure your source is DVD-compliant - if you changed the video via 1.b) then you'll have to re-encode. You may have to re-encode even if you don't make any changes.
    3. Author.
    4. Burn.
    5. Test playback on a settop player.

What's your source ? Downloaded divxs ? captured DV edited in a NLE ?

Please supply more info as above.
    If in doubt, Google it.

What type of files are they ? (WMV / AVI / MPEG / Other ?)

Once you find out what type they are (hint: GSpot should be good for this), click on the All Guides link in the menu to the left, and choose "<my file type> to DVD> in the conversion type dropdown box.
    If in doubt, Google it.
