So do you like the best of five/seven game playoff systems or the single game eliminations like in the NCAA tournament or NFL playoffs???

I tend to like the best of seven used in NHL and a few others (NBA) better. It allows for injuries. Even though the more games you play the more injuries you can get you have a chance for a player to recover to play later. Like if its a 24 hour flu bug or something and your star player is out your done for in a single game elimination. But in best of seven series you can get back some of your injured players (from the more minor injuries). Or even if you go deep into the players. Say you have someone with a injured wrist. In a four round best of seven series it can last almost a month depending on the layout of the rounds. That way if you make it all the way to the finals your lightly injured players can make it back for the last round. With single game elimination series the whole tournament tends to be shorter and recovery time wouldn't be as long.

I'm a fan of the best of 7 series. For example, in the Olympics, if it were a best of 7 tournament, Canada may have had a shot, instead of being knocked out in the first f@#*ing round

Howver, i know that due to the time, it wouldn't actually be possible to play a best of 7 tournament in the olympics, but in general I like the best of 7 series'.

Both! For Pro Sports, 7 game series, for College, 1 & Done like NCAA. Nothing beats March Madness..

There are many ways to measure success. You just have to find your own yardstick.

One-shots can be flukes. I believe in best of 5 or best of 7, gives plenty of time to prove superior mastery of skills.

I like a system where every team puts their name in a hat, then a TV program starts and someone draws a name out. The name thats drawn in the winner. They then have 25min of programming AND NO MORE to fill and its over.

Slapshots are superfast shots at the goal to try to score - very strong, quick and tricky for a goalie to stop.

Tackling is hitting. End of discussion
