i downloaded the trial version of VSO's new ConvertXtoDVD and it was rather strange to see a popular program with NO HELP MENU. all thats provided is links to some forums which i think isnt the best solution especially for those who are usually busy and cant spend time browsing thru forums. does anyone have anythin to say about this? also i wanted to know whether it was a good program to use.

    thanx

PS. hope the admins and mods dont mind as i know this is in the wrong forum i posted by mistake and then thought better not to post it again in the correct forum

I don't know anything specific about the software, but in general, I think that most forums with any decent amount of membership have at least as much, if not more information in them than many/most compiled HTML help files.
The only question for me would be, how big is the membership and how long has it been around?
It would be good if the forum had its own search engine, but if you have the Google toolbar (and some others) you can search a site. The Google search engine is probably as good as any engine that a site has.
As longas you know what to search for, a forum (like this one) is just as easily searched as any compiled HTML help file, which by their very nature tend to be limited.

Tried their website ? Support forums ?

There's a guide on using the program in the Guides section here too.

Does a program that of that complexity really need a help facility ?
    If in doubt, Google it.
