    Hey There!
I downloaded a music DVD. There is audio in only one channel (right side) on most of the disc. Only one section has audio in both. How can I extract the audio, paste it into both channels and then paste that back onto the vob file? I'd like to be able to use the original menu that came with the DVD too.
Any help will be much appreciated!

Fixing the audio issue is a simple fix by using audiocity to convert audio stream into stereo , then using besweet to encode to ac3 .

As for the dvd itself , this can be tricky , depending on how it was generated .

1 : Rip to hard drive

2 : Normally the title will start from the first 1 gigabyte vob , open it with vobedit

3 : Demux via cell id , choose complete title set

4 : Demux each cell now , sellect audio choice , one at a time .

5 : Demux video for each cell as well .

Depending on number of track's , you need to create 1 folder for each vob cell .

When cell one has been demuxed , convert the audio to wav using besweet , then open this wav in audiocity , create stereo audio via adding second track , then copy track containing audio to the new track ... save as wav ... re-encode with besweet to ac3 .

That's the hard crapola done .

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you want to keep the menu it came with , you will need to locate the title containing it ... on some dvd's it will be the small vob with the same number's as the main title ... on some I have here , they appear as vts_01_0 , though this will depend on the number's used on you dvd ... it could appear as vts_09_0 .

Demux the menu using vobedit , so as to produce the m2v and audio track , if it use's one .

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recreating the menu is simple with dvdauthorgui ... choose video format , then add one small video clip and audio as first title ... it can be anything but must have same audio format , and video format as for choosen ouput type , ie , you have choosen pal , then first title clip must be pal source .

Now add source file for vobcell 1
Repeat till all vobcell's are in project .

Choose to add a menu , here is where you bring in the menu's video and audio stream's .

You can add button's ... for now , everything is connected to title one .

    Author the dvd .

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

Open this authored dvd in pgcedit ... and edit the nav command's to reflect to correct order of playback and navigation .

You can find some help in my guide :

https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=270620 (how to create a music video dvd)

Create you own dvd button's :

https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=285839 (make your own dvd buttons)

As for reusing button's originally from the menu , that involve's my guide just above , and subrip .

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes , it's not a simple process , but if you want to do it , then no one is stopping you ... for now that is .
