ok I am trying to help a friend and we've done all the necessary steps with DVDAuthorGUI to create a burnable DVD.

But Nero says it can't burn it without a BUP file which isn't anywhere.

What happened? Did we forget something?

    How can we fix this?

Could you describe your project a little more? I generally use nero myself to burn dvdauthor authored projects and have never had an error like that. Generally, I will select the entire VIDEO_TS folder and drag that over to the project window in Nero. If you can describe your project in more detail, I may be able to offer specific advise.

Sounds as though when you have gone to burn the authored project from dvdauthorgui in nero , you have not added the bup's as well .

Dvdauthorgui dose generate these file's .

If they are missing , and it is only a single title that play's automatically upon insertion into player , you can use vobedit to demux your title , then use ifoedit to rebuild it ... this will regenerate all the required file's , including the bup's .

Or go back and reauthor in dvdauthorgui again ...

If its only the BUP file thats missing, then simply make a seperate copy of the IFO file (in another folder) and rename it to BUP, copy back to original folder.

A BUP file is just a BackUP of an IFO file.

We are trying to burn off copies of Bleach that he has.

We're also having issues with getting the video to fully display (it cuts off the subtitles) but that's a different forum.
