I have a winfast TV2000 expert capture card. I just captured a tv show in what I thought were good setings but the audio is out of synch.

    Here were the settings.

    mpeg 2

    PIC video M-JPEG 3VFW Codec 720 x 576 PAL

    M-JPEg Compressoer setting = 20.

    Audio codec = NONE,

    PCM 44.100 khz 16 bit/stereo 172 kb sec.

The audio seems a few seocnds faster than the clip and seems to get worse.

Any suggestions on why this might be?

The ONLY program which always has kept perfect A/V sync for me with software compression was avi_io.

    Maybe you can try that?

My capture card has a lead that plugs in to my sound card. It doesnt happen if I use other capture settings. Only this setting, but its the setting I want to use.

I set the audio back to 44.100 khz 128kb/s and that seemed to have fixed the problem. I then also chose to use an Mpeg layer 3 audio codec as well.

However I have noticed that no matter what I do the recorded volume is nowhere near as load as the original volume and I have to turn the volume up loder to hear playback. I have the audio record level set to 100. So not sure whats wrong?
