Hello,
I recently decided on the PowerColor Theater 550 Pro PCI-e x1 card, and it works with MMC 9.13, and Windows Media Center 2005. I have not tried any other software, though I've heard Beyond TV is great, so I will try that out too. I found a registry key that allows me to edit the preset bitrates in Windows Media Center, but I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to change the resolution (to say Half D1, 352 x 480).
I can continue using MMC, but I figured since it's doing the Hardware Encoding anyway, if Windows Media Center works, the output should be the same as long as I can tweak some of the settings. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Also, am I wrong in assuming that the capture software will not affect my output quality, edit: as long as I can edit the settings, given the MPEG-2 encoding is performed via the hardware anyway?
Thanks in advance!
