Quick "which program?" question

When ever anyone talks about using dvdshrink or dvd decrypter they also say to run anydvd or another program like it. I think it’s to stop a write protect feature from stopping the backup. I can’t use anydvd because I tried long ago before I knew what I was doing so my trial is up. What was the other program like it?

Nothing works quite like Anydvd. Support those who support you and buy the program. If you use any program to include freeware you should always want to pay something to it's authors. Most freeware authors accept donations. Don't be a leech.

I guess you missed the part where I said I downloaded it before I knew what I was doing. I’m not going to pay for something I don’t need, now that I’ve got a better grip on things I wouldn’t mind trying something again. Since I don’t truly know what it does no need to buy it just yet.

It's the best at what it does. If you need something that does this, I'd highly recommend the investment. Another option although somewhat limited in scope compared to AnyDvD is DVD Region-Free / DVDIdle.
