    i just loaded in an 11gig .ts file but final output will be 7gig, my question is does the converted dvd output to true HDTV res/ar of 1080 as in the source or does it convert to something less hi-def

    A normal DVD is created as per the DVD specs: i.e. 720 x 480 pixels.

    In short the requirement for HDTV2DVD is to reduce the usual high HD bitrate to within the DVD specs: <9000kbs and to change the video resolution to that of the DVD specs: 720 x 480 pixels.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.
