    I have just installed a new burner that supports DVD-DL. As most people I've seen, or, heard from, I probably won't be using that feature very often. But I think I'd like to try using it (DVD-DL burning) by making a back up of a two-disc set of a "Saturday afternoon matinee" cliffhanger serial. (an example of what I mean is "Flash Gordon."

    What I want to do is to put the first disc on one side, and, the other disc on the other side of a DL.

    Is there a way to copy directly to each side using a program like NeroRecode, or, similar? Or, must I create ISO files, then convert the ISO to burn them to the disc?
    as usual, all help greatly appreciated.

    agent222, I don't think you understand that DVD-DL is dual layer, one sided only. I have seen some two sided single layer DVDs for sale on the internet, but they aren't cheap. I have never seen a two sided DVD-DL disc for sale anywhere.

    JMan-

    I was about to reply to ROF's posting when I seen yours. Apparently I was mistaken. I did think that dual-layer meant two sided. I now stand corrected. But apparently, you can use dual lawyer discs to combine a two disc set onto one, at least that's what it appears you can do , from what I can tell from searching the topic two movie on DVD-DL.
    But Jman, Ruler, anybody, can you recommend a guide for doing it directly, with out having to make ISO files first, then converting?

    never too proud to say I was wrong, always glad for help.

  5. Here is a guide for putting multiple movies or titles onto a single DVDR or DL DVDR using DVDshrink. This works very good and I have been doing this with DVDshrink for a few weeks now myself.

    Bob W.;
    I've just skimmed the guide you linked me to. It does seem like a simple way to accomplish what I want to do
    Thanks..
