  1. Disk 1 worked fine, then when I try disk 2 using smartripper (ver 2.34), after it reads the 10 vob's off of disk 2, I got the following error:

List index out of bounds (%d)

Does anyone know what this means and how I can get around it ?? I'm also trying DVD Decrypter (ver 3.0.0. and got the VOB's to save, but when I used DVD2AVI, it only made the video (no audio), any help ??

    Thanks,
    Craig

you can use the newest version of of smartripper or you can use claddvd, I used the later because you will find that smartripper will select the wrong iso file and you will end up with the behind the scenes special rather than the movie, you need to select iso 6 if I remember, it is the second largest iso, also claddvd will select the right audio track to go with it, I have heard that smartripper selects the french track, guess on this disk it is not so smart-a-ripper...lol

  3. Thanks sommersby:

I tried the newer version of Smartripper (ver 2.4) and got the same error. I loaded up CladMdec 1.5 and got an error as well:

    cladMdec v1.5 Error Report
    Error Number: 9
    Description: Subscript out of range
    Procedure Name: AddListItems - 1
    Last Dll Error: 0

I'm emailing the POC listed in the website where I found CladMdec 1.5 and am awaiting a response.

    Any idea's ??

    Thanks,
    Craig

hmmm, maybe a bad dvd?....not sure, both these rippers worked on on it for me but I did get the same error when I tried an older version of smartripper.

  5. I had the exact same problem with new version of smartripper. Then I try an older version that I have (ver 2.27)and it worked just fine. One thing though, smartripper will choose a wrong vob files for you. The movie vob files should be vts_06_x.vob.

  6. sommersby and ya_jai - thanks for all the info.

I ended up using DVD Decrypter 2.4 and ripped the vts_06 vob's as you both had mentioned. I'm now encoding - another 8 hrs to go - I have a slow computer - oh well - I like watching the movies though.

Thanks alot for all the info. I'm still curious as to why the error using CladMdec 1.5 and I'm still waiting for a email from the website on that - I may switch over to it vs. smartripper.

    Thanks again.

a last note, I do keep an older version of smartripper also, ver. 2.14, there has been a couple of ocasions where I have had to use the older version to rip with. If you can find an old version, (easy to find), I would download it and keep it handy.
