I had a .rm file that I converted to AVI using lossless lagarith (I've also tried huffyuv, uncompressed, xvid) with PCM audio. I now want to convert to DVD using the program DIKO which I always use with great results.
In other programs such as VirtualDub and GSpot the correct number of frames are detected (about 94,000) but DIKO only detects about 65,000 frames using lagarith (frames detected varies with other codecs used).
I have never had this problem with other AVI files and have put the AVI through VirtualDub on direct stream copy and also tried DivFix but this problem was not solved.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Anthony

IIRC, Lagarith has a checkbox option where, kinda like B & P frames, it "skips" frames that are identical to a previous frame and just puts in a "flag" that the frame should be repeated.
I would guess that some apps may not be as thorough at reading and interpreting those flags as VDub, etc. is. IOW, the rate shown there is probably the most correct (although it does seem to want to "round" the framerate at times).
