After looking a bit i found that the only easiest choices to convert multiple avis to dvd is with ConvertXtoDVD, I was using avi2dvd before, but i could not find that function (multiple avis) so i switched.
If anyone knows other simple converting tools for multiple avis, id like to know (just want to watch it once and delete afterwards, so no need for ifoedit, tmpgenc, or other things)

Now i got a problem with ConvertXtoDVD, because it always encodes to ntsc, no matter what settings i use. i set the video standard to pal by default (in settings -> tv-format), but still in the source details it says 'auto-target: Ntsc 29.97fps, pulldown required'

Why is that so, and how come i cannot change the format?

I shouldn't worry about trying to convert from NTSC to PAL. Almost every European DVD player will play both PAL and NTSC.

EDIT: Should you want to convert it though take a look at this sticky...

im not so sure if my player will play ntsc since its a noname and cheap one. ill try when i go back home and test it.

maybe ill try to use avi2dvd, but i would even skip encoding since it would be a time consuming process if convertxtodvd cannot convert properly to pal (and i thus have to use avi2dvd to convert ntsc2pal). but ill give a try.

The fact it's cheap is in your favour. The DVD player will be 'locked' for region 2 DVD's. Region 2 includes Europe (PAL) and Japan (NTSC) and so it’s cheaper to produce a single model that is able to play both rather than a European model and Japanese model.

I'm not sure the log necessarily reflects reality. Auto may well still say NTSC, but the PAL override may still kick in. I would try it on a short video and confirm.

There is a pretty steady stream of updates coming out for this software at the moment, so if it is a problem, chances are an update to fix it has already been released.
