I have Bullguard v6.o security on my system, for the past few months I am getting a Port scan box telling me that someone is trying to scan my computer. It blocks it for 600 seconds then alloys it. How can I stop this from happening. Is there other software that will prevent it.

You can't stop it. It just means that some script kiddie is out there scanning ports of groups addresses, hoping for a hole to appear. Assuming your firewall is blocking the port and simply reporting the attempt, it is doing it's job.
If you don' like the messages, you can either change software to one that lets you stop the messages, or better yet, put a hardware router between you and your ISP, and let it deal with the scan attempts.Read my blog here.

might even be your own ISP , many do port scanning on their clients
