I have a CD of loads of images made up as a slide show. I can play it OK, but want to extract the images from the CD. This seems impossible to do. This is the view using Isobuster. Is there software that can help me? The CD is from relatives overseas and I have no idea what program was used to make the slide show.
    Any help would be welcome.

If it is already in VCD format....the original pictures(jpeg, bitmap etc etc) are gone. They are now part of a mpeg video file.

Or play it on PC and use "Print Screen" key to copy to clipboard and paste them into your image editor.

...but the images will be @VCD resolution - thumbnails, almost, in the computer world.

    Seing's how it's only under 28mb's , and in vcd format .

Use vcdgear to extract the mpeg , dont use the fix error feature .
Then open it in virtualdub , if audio error , ignor it (that's if it has an audio track) .

If you wish to resize the picture's , go to video , filter's , add resize , set scale to 720x576 for pal (if it's pal) .

Then file , Save image sequence , choose folder , name , format supported is bmp and jpg , not sure if it support's other's . and let it rip .

Got to folder when done , check pic's , if pic's appear fine and good quality , then delete non essential picture's .

If picture quailty is poor , consider no-resizing .

If you want , you can also box them inside a full scale black box , which is another method ...

Hold on, that may or may not be a VCD. That ISOBuster screengrab is VERY inconclusive. Sounds like it can't understand the disc type that well--which is very unusual for ISOBuster.

If you actually had a VCD, it should have the usual MPEGAV folder, VCD folder, SEGMENT folder, etc. And it should be 2 tracks (although it's possible that all the assets are SEGMENTS).

Do a Sector view of LBA 16 (that's the Primary Volume Descriptor). What's it say? Does it have the NAME of the disc there?
Then, do a Sector view of LBA 150 (that's where INFO.VCD file is supposed to always be). What's it say?

If these aren't following standard expectations for VCD, maybe you don't have a VCD.

You said you "successfully played/showed the pictures". How? Did you use a settop, or the computer, or both?

Thanks Cornucopia, in the end I did it just using V-Dub Mod. there were 317 images and they all came out looking good. This was a result of you mentioning the "save image" feature in V-dub. Thanks for your help. Next time you are in OZ I'll buy you a beer.
