i have a m4v file from iTunes Podcaster and i would like to convert it to mpeg or avi.
Sound is not important because i going to make a .gif outof the converted file and the splitt program and gif program don't support .m4v so i have to convert it.

i'm looking for a user firendly program that dosen't lower the quality from the orginal source when i convert, but if there isn't a program like this then any program will do

Thanks for your time and help

Well if it doesn't contain DRM, then it is just an mp4 with the wrong file extension. mplayer can convert it directly to an animated gif.

DRM = Digital Rights Management, at least I believe that is what it is supposed to stand for.

mencoder can convert to avi and mpg. Plenty of other apps to. Like I said if there is no DRM, it is simply an mp4 file.
