  1. I've never bought DL media before, but wanted to try some out. I'm looking for high quality printable media for the best price. I'm not interested in purchasing a quantity larger than 25. Does anyone know of a better deal than these Verbatim DataLifePlus 8.5GB 2.4X DVD+R DL Printable 20 Pack for $37 (after rebate)?

That is the best price I've found. Too bad they're out of stock. They should be in next week though.

I've bought several of the 20-packs of these. They're the same excellent quality as the non-printable version. Almost a year ago, I paid $110 for a 20-pack. I bought a few more several months ago for about $60 each after rebate. $37 after rebabte is a great deal. Even with shipping, it's about $2 per disk.

One note of caution: Verbatim denied my last rebate request on these (and it was for $30 or $35). They said I didn't include the UPC. I am absolutely positive I included it, just like on the numerous other Verbatim rebates I've sent in recently. Of course, I can't prove I sent it, and I can't simply send it again, as I no longer have it.

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt this time. I hope this was an honest mistake on their part (which I had to pay for). I hope they didn't "lose" my UPC intentionally, just to keep the rebate money.

I've been a big defeder of Verbatim rebates on this forum in the past. I've sent in lots of them, and always get my checks in a timely manor. I'm going to give them one more chance on this current NewEgg deal. If they deny me again, I will be done with Verbatim rebates.

    Mawdryn,
I had the same kind of experience with a Best Buy rebate one time. But before I send in the rebate, I always put everything on the scanner bed and scan a copy of everything that goes in the envelope. When I received a card saying that I had not included the UPC code, I called them and told them that I knew for a fact that I had, and that I had a scanned copy of everything that I sent them. I told them that I did not wish to be jerked around and that if I didn't get my rebate, that there were plenty of other stores that would accept my business.
