  1. I would like to capture an online video of a news story. Here is the link to the video from the local news station (»www.komonews.com/stories/42194.htm):

    A HREF="javascriptlayVideo('704602', 'Whidbey-Based Jet Crashes In NE Oregon', 'v', 'News', '271733', 'News', 'fvCatNo=&backgroundImageURL=', 'ww3.komotv.com');

    Any help? A friend of mine was in that Prowler that crashed in Oregon yesterday and I'd like to make a CD for him. Thanks.

    Thanks...but it still seems to be secure so I can't save it. Is there something I'm missing?

    BTW...sorry for the posting in the wrong forum initially.

    Search in tools for something that'll capture streaming video.

  6. Ok, I have a saved copy. Thanks for the help.

    One more question though...how did you get the mms link? Whenever I examined the properties of the video, I kept getting the java script.

    I use the Firefox MediaPlayerConnectivity Extension. It interprets all of that Javascript and spits out a pop-up with the links. Supposedly I can click on that and call up the appropriate player. Works about half of the time.
