Annoying adverts

what the hell is up with all the adverts on TV for Phone Chat line or stupid Text date crap?

who on earth can afford to pay £1.50 a minute to talk to some unknown person at the other end of the phone anyway? . The same goes for all these damn phone ring tone adverts or anything else phone related.

Who the hell are the idiots that pay for these things so that they can afford to advertise so much?

saying that, I know around 15 years ago I was living in a shared house and I found a way to bypass the payphone in the passage. One day I was bored of waiting and I just kept on hitting the 1 button and all of a sudden the warning beeps asking for money disappeared .

The first thing me and my mate did was ring chat lines and it was actually good fun talking with the girls 8). I guess it was only fun as it was 'free' at the time. The bad news was when the huge phone bill came in a few months later, it was pretty obvious who was responsible for most of it. Me and my mate ended up paying something like £350 back in installments

I'd say they're implementing a "you gotta spend money to make money" advertising compaign.


Either that or it's the same people that are buying WinAVI that don't realise that there are freeware alternatives most of the time ...

Indeed. People spending as much on crap quality snippets of songs (ring tones) as on full quality full length songs. I just don't get it...

it's good and bad now. They have taken Men & Motors off Freeview and that was one of the channels I watched that had all these adverts

downside is that it had some decent programs inbetween the daft adverts
