  1. Hello

Just wondering if using frame indexing in DLP is worth my while... It seems to take take a lot of time (doubles the compilation time at least)...

Is it helping audio sync or is it really just nudging the chapters towards better accuracy...?

To my knowledge frame indexing occurs only when chapter are created to ensure accuracy. Disk creation without chapter points does not require indexing, does it?

  5. sure will, but am I expecting to see differences purely in chapter accuracy, or should I look for other consequences too?

Do you place your chapters by hand, or use the auto-chapter facility. If you use auto-chapters then it doesn't matter and you gain nothing.

I have tried both, and when I didn't use frame-indexing, the chapters are a little off. If you have a large "black" blank area, ie 2 seconds or so, it won't matter, but if it's a quick scene change, and the chapter comes in 3/4 of a second early or late, it is noticeable. Obviously not a big deal or anything, but I always use it, because the little imperfections bother me

3 min delay don't bother me and I always use indexing. At least you get predictable output.
