  1. I just ripped a movie for my kids so they don't mess up the original. 2 things here, 1. When I view the dvd with power dvd I get this message about parental something or other view yes no? I click yes, then It has me enter a name and password then it starts. Will it do that when I burn it? How annoying! 2. There's a vob file that when I play it seperately it's in the middle of the movie, but numerically it's like one of the last numbered. Will that be resolved or is it gonna screw the movie up? Thanks

How did you rip the movie? What software? What settings?

  3. Actually I don't think it was out of order, I think maybe it was just a little 'extra' clip at the end, because I went into the original on the dvd and the same clip with the same numerical value was on the 'real' dvd. Anyways someone suggested shrinkdvd and it's working perfect. It's ripping/shrinking my dvd's in like 1 1/2 hours (I have a way slow computer!) But thanks for helping

That's the point I was going to make. If you're using DVDShrink it doesn't make any changes to the DVD structure if you're doing a "full disk backup."

That username and password thing sounds like you have PowerDVD configured with Parental Control enabled. Unless you have kids using your computer (or you want want to protect yourself ...... from yourself ) I'd consider turning it off.
    If in doubt, Google it.
