    Hey all, i got a movie which is in PAL format, but my dvd player Pioneer DV-440 doesnt like PAL very much. So i was thinking of makin a vcd/svcd in ntsc format. Is there anything specific i have to do to make it work right and look good? thanks

    yes.
    what you have to do is use the search feature of this forum to search for either PAL or NTSC and discover the 2 extensivly long threads on this forum that already discuss this subject in great detail.
