Does your mouse have a scroll wheel and do you use it often?

I have one and it saves so much time in various things. I hate it when I use a PC and the mouse doesn't have a scroll as it just shows how much time you can save with one

I have one of those "Razor Viper" gaming mouse.

Ue the wheel for scrolling all the time and use it for changing weapons and an alt. fire button 8)

Doom and gloom if mine ever got taken away. Scrolling pages is nice, but when it is a zoom it really earns its keep like in my cad program. Another neat (but seldom used) feature is the auto scroll (or whatever it is called) when I click on the wheel and get a target and the distance away from the target controls the speed of the scroll.

I also got a track ball w/scroll and a couple of extra buttons that I thought was gonna be killer, but it turns out that it is kind of painful to do much drawing with my thumb and the extra buttons didn't really get used that much. But it is a comfortable shape and I may look into one of those funcky looking ergo mice some day.

if I don't use autoscroll it takes me 15

Wow! 28 strokes! Each stroke was maybe a quarter revolution of the wheel. It would have been more if I was actually reading, because I tend to keep adjusting the page bit by bit.

(BTW I was considering posting in that thread, but after reading it in its entirety (SP) I just gave up)
