  1. My bro-in-law sent me an ISO image of a home movie I am trying to burn to a DL DVD.
    The said file is 7.69GB.

Using Nero, I select "Burn Disk Image" and get the following error...

    Session fixation error
Could not perform end of Disc-at-once
    Burn process failed at 2.4x

Using Decrypter I get an I/O error saying...

    ScsiStatus: 0x02
    Interpretation: Check Condition

    CDB: 2A 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 00
    Interpretation: Write (10) - Sectors: 0-31
    Sense Area: 70 00 03 00 00 00 00 12 00 00 00 00 73 02 00 00 00 0000 01 02 03 04 05
Interpretation: Power Calibration Area Is Full

Decrypter says I have enough room on the disc and recognizes the DL disc, but I can't get it to work.
I have tried ISOBuster and saved the DVD files to my HD, then burn the DVD files as I always do, still no dice. I have even tried to convert the files using Nero to fit on a DVD+R (regular 4.7GB).
I have a HP DVD640i and I know it is DL compatiable....and I am using Verbatim DL discs.

I have been working on this for weeks and can't figure it out, I am not exactly a newbie when it comes to all this, but I am stumpped...please help.

    TIA.

There are usually only two reasons for Power Calibration errors if the drive is still functional. One is bad media(which Verbatim isn't) and two is a dirty laser lens. I'm going to suspect the lens can not calibrate properly for dual layer burning because it is dirty.
