  1. I can get a sample for anyone who wants one...but every movie i get and convert, there is a pink shading to most areas on the screen...gradually getting worse and worse, then it disappears, repeating this throughout the movie...
Anyone know if there is a fix for this?
This is on most new ripped movies (TMD avi files etc)

    TIA!

I also had this problem when I upgraded to a beta copy of windows xp on the same type of movies you are talking about, it does not happen on dvd rips tho, why this is i have no clue, what I did to fix the problem was go back to 98. If you do have xp I have heard of a patch somewhere that can correct this, but I coulnd give you a link for it, it may also help to upgrade to the final if you are using a beta copy.

    Good Luck!

hmmmmm, interesting.... I went back to 98 fe but if it was an error in the os it would carry between 98 se and xp beta, all i can say is try updating/changing your divx drivers, Os. One thing i did remember that made the pink crap go away is if you used the old windows media player included in morpheus/kazaa. For some reason it was the only proggy that could read the movies properly for me, playa, vdub and tmpg all showed up with pink stuff.
See my post where I had this problem and no one cared

  5. Yeah, it might be a divx codec problem...but even wen i convert with tmpgenc or whatever...still shows up...
can i send you a small clip and see if you see the red too? if you dont, maybe you could send me your codec and maybe that would fix it?
    Thanks
