  1. i save them as avi and mpg files, but want a menu to work for the dvdr disc also

    any info or prefer a guide will be greatly appreciated , thanks

    DVD requires mpeg2.

  3. i should have mentioned... i am playing these on a dvp642 divx dvd player and not on a regular dvd player

    Either live with the menu your player provides and just put a mix of AVI and mpg files on the DVD or reencode all AVIs and mpgs to DVD Video standard and author (which includes creating any menu system imaginable) as DVD Video.

    With the DVP642, the only menu you can have (while playing AVIs and MPEGs from discs) is the one you get when you enable it under the System menu > Preferences > MP3/JPEG NAV (select 'With Menu'). It's not much, though; as mats.hogberg mentioned, if you really want a proper menu, you're going to have to author a DVD Video disc.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

  7. ok thanks for the replys ... i want to keep them as avi and mpg formats ... so i guess i cannot create a menu for them, was just wandering ... thanks again , later :P
