    i have a divx dvd player so i dont need a converter,i just want to burn the avi files as they are but i want to be able to put a menu on the disk so i can select the movie on the disk ,is there any software to do this as all i can find are programs that will convert the avi's.

    No. It is possible to add menus to Divx encoded files, and have chapter points, but I don't know fo any players that can play these back yet. There is no software that allows you to author a menu for playback of multiple avi files on a stand alone player. There are, however, plenty for playback on PCs.

    I'm pretty sure that the menu is dependant on your player at the present time. Most I've seen just give a basic file listing but unfortunately that's as good as it gets for now.

    Perhaps time to make a sticky of this in both DVD authoring and newbie/general, with a big "No, can't be done."?
