If anyone has any experience with a wireless router going through a couple of block walls and a half a block away PLEASE let me know what you have and where I can get it at. Basically I need a wireless setup to do just that. I dont mind getting a cheap repeater antenna if need be (if they even make something like that). Thanks.

Although the WRT54G is one of the best routers (I have one), he said he need something with power to go through walls and a long distance. I have tried to run a wireless network with my wrt54g to the other side of my house (200+ft away) and no luck. Not even with the range extender. That's why I listed the Linksys SRX400 Router(more powerful I have heard)
From the http://www.linksysinfo.org/ website, "SRX400 MIMO technology that boasts 10x the speed of standard 802.11g and over 3 times the range"

The thing I have found with Wireless routers is to never buy a router without either removeable antennas or an external antenna jack. If you have to reach extended distances or have significant structural barriers make sure to set aside enough money for a high gain antenna. Range extenders are only as good as the antenna they are receiving from. Most standard stock wi-fi antennas on routers are low grade junk(to put it mildly). It may work for your particular network, but the same antenna in another network will be crippled.
