it's a normal question when you apply for something, how long have you lived at your present address?
I've been in my current house for 5 years 7 months now. I've no plans on moving as my 3 Bedroom Semi with garage is big enough for me and any future family (if I change my mind into wanting a family).
I did have a girlfriend when I originally bought it but we split and I paid just under £5000 to keep the house after first wanting to sell it. I'm glad I kept it as the house has now increased in value by 120% to the original price in the few years since and that measly sum of £5000 has been money well spent 8). I'd hate to be just starting on the property ladder now as there's no way I'd afford the house I have now as prices are horrendous compared to just a few years ago![]()

I only got around an 10% increase from my first house I owned for the previous 7 years!. I just wish I'd paid that little extra and bought something like my current house back then. It would have been an extra £15,000 instead of the extra £40,000 when I bought it 7 years later. I was just being sensible (as well as young and stupid :P) and staying well within my finances whereas now people must be stretching themselves badly to get something decent

Have lived in my current address since 1996; have seen the value go up by about 400%, but it is the luck of the drawer that I got it during a property slump.
Anyhow, the value of a house is a moot point really as to get that money I would have to sell it. But then I would have to spend it again to be able to live somewhere else, as the price I paid for mine is fairly relative to what other house prices were at the time and that situation is still the same.
BTW: location is North West Kent.Cole -
I built my house (literally) and moved in Christmas Eve 1989.

I should just sell my house and go back and live with my mother. I could then afford to buy the Lambourghini I've always dreamed of owning. Think of all the sexy chicks I could pull with a car like that 8)
hmmmm, decisions decisions -
Somewhere between 15-20, over 15 but i'd have to dig some stuff out to know the exact time, been awhile 8)
