Hi all
I've got bit of a strange problem with aspect ratios. I've saved some movies on my sky+ box and copy them off using a pioneer dvr-220 in dvd-vr mode. When I load them on the computer, power dvd reports them as being 16:9 apect ratio and watching them they are definitely in 16:9 . I was told the pioneer would only recored at 4:3. Soon as I edit the ad's out of convert the dvd-vr to dvd video in ulead disc creator or nero it changes to 4:3. Every thing then looks stretched when played back. If I set nero or ulead to 16:9 project i get black borders to the left and right of the main picture. I've also had this problem burning as dvd-video in the pioneer and once loaded back into ulead or nero for editing it changes to 4:3. I hope this makes sense to some of you out there.
Has anyone every had this problem or seen this before ? And any advice on how to do this using different programmes in required.
Thanks in advance
