  1. Hi, guys. I badly need your help!
I created and edited a video in Premiere Pro, and now I need to put it back to tape on my SONY camcorder. I have a DVRaptor card (an old but great beast). However, I have a problem. Premiere Pro does not recognize DVRaptor, and does not export to tape. My camcorder remains inactive and nothing is recorded on a tape.
I have no problem printing to tape in Premiere 6 though. Is there a compatibility problem between DVRaptor and Premiere Pro?
I could have 2 ways around. First, I could create a huge avi file with Premiere Pro and open it in AP6 and print to tape. But I do not have enough space on my hard drive to do this.
I also tried to open a Primere Pro project in AP6. It won't open.
I then tried to frameserve Pro project to AP6 using a frameserving software, but AP6 crashed.
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this? I really appreciate your help!!! Thanks!

First off, is your Sony camcorder digital (ie MiniDV)??
Looking quickly at the specs of your card, Premiere Pro should recognize it as a firewire device...

Perhaps a reinstall is what's necessary..
Within the capture interface (press F5), there should be an advanced setting that will let you select the raptor card as the default capture device...

According to Adobe's third party support list, the DVRaptor is on the fully supported list for Premiere Pro 1.0, but not for 1.5 and no cards are listed for 2.0. Go figure.

I would call Canopus support and ask them.
