    Hi Everyone,

I looked at first in the Polls & didn't find this there...which i think it might be good to have....

I was wondering which sites or how everyone transfer large files over the internet?

I've used filefactory.com which has been relatively successful. Here are my Pro's & Con's to this site:

    http://www.filefactory.com
    Cons:
15-25 day storage limit - but commonly found on most free storage sites
Upload from net cafe was max'd at 12K, & averaged at 8K
Download from net cafe was max'd at 18K
    Had difficulties with simultaneous uploads

    Pros:
    Free to upload/download
    Up to 1Gb uploads possible
    Resume download feature
    Could have simultaneous downloads
Could check download statistics of each file - total downloads to date

I"m needing this access more & more w/ more &more files....& have no ftp server of my own....so any suggestions would be welcome.

  3. yea..or if you dont wanna do that, you can always go with rapidshare...however im not sure if you want to go that route, as they only allow people who don't pay them money to download one file per hour (reasonably large files at least) another option, if you dont mind your bandwidth personally being torn apart for a little bit, you can just bit torrent the files, and host the torrent files themselves on your website (if you go this route though, expect your bandwidth to get hammered pretty hard for a while, and then also if it ever hits a point...which it likely will, where there's few people downloading the files, they may complain about slow download speeds) like lordsmurf said though, best to just buy hosting for that type of thing...
