Hello there, first question and I most certainly am a newbie!!
I have a collection of AVI files, which recently I have begun to archive to DVD+R discs, using the "Convert AVI to DVD" wizard within WINAVI.
To test each DVD I have been watching the disc on my PC (the same PC that I have previously viewed the AVI files on , using VLC).
When watching the burned DVD version, the volume is much lower than the original AVI version (yes I have checked that my volume knob is at the same level!!).
Is this a common phenomona when converting from AVI in this way?
cheers all

I would try it in a standalone player before you adjust the volume. But if you need to make a adjustment VirtualDub can do that.
