  2. Depends on your authoring tool. For me, I get the frame numbers/times from Virtual Dub at the prceice frames I want to put chapters. Then In my authoring application, I put those values in. If I use IFOedit, then use frame numbers. If DVDauthorGUI, then times.

  3. Common authoring programs like TMPGEnc DVD Author allow you to place your own chapter points manually on a timeline or to automatically place chapters at a time interval which you choose, like every 10 minutes, or you can tell it to place a number of chapter points such 15 in your video which it will insert spaced equally apart in time.

Do it using your authoring software.

    Is what you want ...

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Update : The guide dose look as though it share's some similarities with the guide in the post below , but that is where the similarities end .

The guide gose way past the simple splitting of a title into 1 gigabyte chunks , which might I remind user's , it dose this by default provided you dont go messing with the internal default setting's .

    Some major point's :

1: Acurate for the generation of chapter point's .
2: Acurate for the removal of unwanted material .
3: Work's for both pal and ntsc , both in various sized format's

That guide looks remarkably similar to this guide:

    If in doubt, Google it.

    I'd suggest following Darryl's post...

Open your video in V/Dub or possibly any player (it'll just be less accurate) & note the time or frame # where you want a chapter to start. DVD Lab has an autochapter function if you just want chapters and don't care where they are.
