So I'm 185 or so titles into my 230 title educational video collection (yah! almost done.....) I've been using jvc deck-->datavideo tbc--->liteon 5005...
I've been burning at HQ, Then pulling the video_ts folder off the original, trimming some of the front end and stitching in a new beginning in procoder(2) then re-encoding at master/2-pass-VBR/7000 max bitrate.
My problem comes when I'm trying to trim off the front in procoder... The VOB is really klunky to scrub and procoder is not giving me many of the control options (like 'play') It's a hellava lot easyer to pull the VOBs into womble and do the trimming there but I've found that when I stitch two MPEG streams (say..VOB_1 and VOB_2) saved from womble in procoder I get a 'blip' where the two split (in other words its not seamless).
Is there a better way?? again all I'm doing is trimming the front and rear adding a new beginning and re-encoding....![]()

Try trimming in Tmpgenc DVD Author, during authoring.
