cant capture anymore with bt878 chipset

Hi,

Ive got an avermedia EZCapture card and i used to be able to use it in virtualdub when i was running win98 and win 2000

now ive upgraded my pc to a intel p4 3ghz 630 and have installed win 2000 and when i go capture in virtualdub it locks up and my win 2000 is a fresh install with all the latest drivers etc...

then i uninstalled the avermedia drivers and install the btwdm drivers and run virtualdub and still does locks up the computer

then i finally install avi_io and it captures but you cant change the pal to ntsc for capturing ntsc footage which i could in virtualdub?

Ive also ran ulead video studio 9 which does not pickup my card

Im sure i could capture in windows 2000 but dont know why i can now

might want to try newest v/dub version. Might want to check for latest btw drivers & different versions (think there were 2 or 3 last I checked).

I am also still using the BTWINCAP drivers in combination with the great avi_io

What I remember is you have to setup the desired videostandard when (re)installing the btwincap drivers.

my computer has all the drivers uptodate
my versions of btwincap is 5.3.8
and the vdub is 1.6.11
avi_io is the latest only downloaded it a few days ago

i used to be able to change videostandard in virtualdub under a video setting and now when i click on it it locks my computer
