Okay, I'm really confused. I'm trying to sort through the information, but I'm getting a little lost. I have basic cable... basic analog cable. I want to be able to use MCE to record/watch TV. I'm building my own machine and I want to have at least a dual TV tuner.
My first question is about connections. Obviously I will run a coax cable from the wall to the tuner card, and I will then run a DVI cable from one of my dual 7800GTX graphics cards to my Dell 2405fpw. Do I need a specific DVI cable? Does it have to be DVI-I? I just want to make sure the signal comes through properly and succesfully.
My second question is concerning actual tuners. I'm looking at two currently; Hauppauge 500 MCE (internal) and Adaptec PVR 3610(external). Anyone have a suggestion between these two? Thanks in advance.
