    Transferring VCD to DVD will not make it DVD quality. The best you can hope is to keep the quality the same. Guide here.

    As long as they are actually VCD's you can import them to TDA and put quite a few to a single dvdr.

    But as ZippyP. said, that will not make it dvd quality.

    VCD = Mpeg 1 352 x 240 - 44100 Hz Audio
    DVD = MPEG2 720 x 480 - 48000 Hz Audio

    Re-encoding it to dvd specs will NOT improve quality, you can't add what's not there

    TDA should convert the audio from 44 to 48.
    All you have to do is rip the video from the vcd to your HDD with something like vcdgear, Isobuster.
    Inport it to TDA, make Menus, ect. and author then burn.

    I've had luck just copying the .dat files to my hdd and loading them into TDA without any conversion.

    You can do it that way but it's usually best to use something like vcdgear.
    And you don't have to do any converting, as i said, TDA will convert the audio from 44 to 48.
    So you don't have to do any converting before loading into TDA, TDA does it.

    That's true, but 44 to 48 conversion seemed to really slow TDA down and I found that it speeded things up quite a bit to convert the audio first with Goldwave or other apps.
