  1. Hi,

    Have riped some movies with quite success if I speak for my self.. I used Smartripper, DVD2AVI and TmpegEnc 2.5..

    Now I want subtitles.. so .. what do i do ?

    Since I am very sadisfyed with the programs I used I would like to stay with them... Have tryed Flask 0.6 and Iam not happy with the result..

    Please help..

  2. There are several methods to get subtitles in your x(S)VCD. In theory SVCD supports selectable subtitles (ie. can turn them on/off) but most DVD players don't support this, and the only program I know of to author (I-Author) is next to impossible to find and only sold in China.

    With that said, most people make permanant subtitles (ie. can't be turned off). They are part of the MPEG stream and will always be present.

    I've had best results using teh VobSub filter in Virtual Dub and frameserving to TMPGenc/CCE. There's a good guide (that actually has more info than you need) at:
